Jewelry as Identity: Why You’re Drawn to Certain Piece
"जिन खोजा तिन पाइयाँ, गहरे पानी पैठ।
मैं बौरी डूबन डरी, रही किनारे बैठ॥"
— Kabir
"Those who dared to dive found the treasures.
I sat by the shore, too afraid to sink."
The Story That Sparked Yuvasha
There was a time, in my college years, when style became my silent voice.
I’d stroll through the buzzing streets of Colaba Causeway, drawn like a magnet to bold oxidised jewelry. The textures, the drama, the statement — those pieces weren’t just accessories.
They mirrored who I was becoming.
The Shift Within
As I grew, so did my taste.
Natural stones began to attract me — raw, grounded, full of quiet power.
I stopped layering my wrists and neck, but I never left the house without a pair of striking earrings.
They made me feel:
-
In charge
-
Elegant
-
Free
Then came a phase when I began to hold back.
I underdressed. I played it safe.
Not just with clothes — but with how I showed up in life.
Maybe it was self-doubt.
Maybe it was fatigue.
Maybe I had simply forgotten:
How we present ourselves is also how we nurture ourselves.
From Invisible to Intentional
What I’ve realised now is this:
Neglecting yourself can feel cozy at first — like hiding under a blanket.
But stay there too long, and it becomes a habit of invisibility.
And That’s Where Yuvasha Was Born
Yuvasha wasn’t just about curating jewelry.
It was about reclaiming joy, confidence, and individuality —
not just for me, but for every woman who’s ever quieted her own shine.
Through Yuvasha, I began dressing up again —
not for the world, but for myself.
The touch of a natural stone, the shimmer of a bold earring —
It slowly brought me back to life.
Introducing: Chhaya
Our newest collection, Chhaya, carries that journey in every piece.
It offers:
-
Shelter
-
Softness
-
Space for your inner self to breathe — and bloom
Each piece is an invitation to show up —
gently but fully, just as you are.
Let It Resonate
Let it speak to the parts of you that long to be seen.
And if you find a piece that feels like you —
I’d love to know.
From My Story to Yours
We all go through shifts —
in style, in identity, in how we see ourselves.
And often, the pieces we’re drawn to aren’t just beautiful —
they’re mirrors of who we are becoming.
So the next time you pick a piece, ask yourself:
What part of me is this honouring?
If you find your answer —
wear it boldly.
With love,
Jahnvi
